astrium GmbH (former DASA) equips test stand for rocket engine with SCHAAF Hydraulic Nuts.

During testing on the bench, the rocket combustion chamber is cooled with liquid hydrogen (-190 °C). This leads to dimensional alterations of the structure which can result in leaks and destruction of the material.
Specially designed SCHAAF Hydraulic Nuts provide clamping force which is practically unchanged and, thus, removed the problem.
