China will set a new record for offshore wind farms in the next few years. Another Chinese wind turbine manufacturer relies on the expertise from Erkelenz for smooth and rapid installation at sea. The tower flange connections are made in 110 wind turbines using the patented TTG technology.

The 5 MW or 6.2 MW systems have a rotor diameter of up to 152 meters and generate an enormous load on the screw connections at full capacity. TTG can withstand these loads through the calculated geometry shifts in the thread area and thus promises a permanently secure connection.
